GTI launches robotics, business and management apprenticeships
GTI's first three apprentices start in September 2026, training in robotics, business and management at its EV battery disassembly sites in Warwickshire.

GreenTech Industries has launched its first apprenticeship programme. Three apprentices start at the end of September 2026, training in robotics, business and management.
The short answer
GreenTech Industries' apprenticeship programme starts in September 2026 with three apprentices in robotics, business and management. Apprentices earn a salary, have their qualification funded by GTI, get paid learning days and mentoring from senior engineers, and the programme is designed to lead into a permanent role. This year's places are full.
Why GTI is starting an apprenticeship programme now
GTI takes end-of-life EV battery packs apart at its facilities in Warwickshire, recovering the components, cells and materials still inside them. The business now runs three facilities across Sucham Park and Westfield Road, and the next phase of development brings robotics to the line, backed by DRIVE35 funding for AutoDMR.
That growth is why the programme starts now. GTI has reached the size where it can train people properly, and the work ahead needs people who understand robotics as well as people who can run the business around it.
A robotics, business and management apprenticeship
Apprentices learn across the business, from the precision disassembly line to the teams that run it. The programme comes with paid learning days and a formal qualification funded by GTI.
- Earn while you learn: a salary that rises as your skills grow, with your qualification paid for.
- Real work from day one: live projects from the start, alongside experienced engineers and managers.
- Mentoring that’s built in: dedicated support from senior engineers and professionals, with time set aside for learning.
- Where it leads: the programme is designed to lead into a permanent engineering or operations role.
A route our CEO knows first-hand
Our CEO Tony Booth is a former apprentice.
“I took this route myself, and parts of it still support me every day as a leader. Engineering and manufacturing is one of the most fascinating industries to be part of right now, with new technology, powertrains, AI and robotics at the front of it.”
Tony Booth, CEO & Co-Founder, GreenTech Industries
